Was presided over by W.Bro John Williams, who was Installed in the Master's Chair in October 2009 and in October 2010 became IPM of the Lodge when he Installed his successor, W.Bro Steve Vaughan as Master of the Lodge.
Below is a record of the events during the year.

Lodge BBQ
Saturday 4th September 2010
The Lodge BBQ was held at the WM's Finca in the mountains and was attended by more than 60 Masons and their frends. The BBQ was tended by W.Bro Jim Brown and Bro Richard Marshall, whilst Barbara, Crystal, Susan and Eveleyn prepared the accompanying salads and delicacies. Music was provided by "The Minister of Sound" Bro Alan Bergin. Prizes for a raffle were donated by the guests and a considerable sum was raised for the WMs charity.

Passing to 2nd Degree - Bro. Richard Marshall
On Tuesday 11th May 2010, at our regular meeting, Bro. Richard Marshall was passed to the 2nd Degree. We were honoured at this meeting by the presence of 19 visitors, including the Assistant Grand Master. This was also our Election Meeting, where W. Bro Steve Vaughan was elected "Master Elect" for the 2010/2011 Masonic Year, despite his being stuck in the UK due to the Icelandic Ash cloud. Following the meeting "The Ladies" were shown around the Lodge and then joined us for a White Table instead of our usual Festive Board.

Initiation of Bro. Steve Grant
On Tuesday 13th April 2010, Mr Steve Grant was initited into Tenerife Lodge No 117. Steve was proposed by the Worshipful Master; W. Bro John Williams and seconded by W. Bro Jeff Ashton. Steve obviously enjoyed the ceremony and of course the Festive Board, where he was the Guest of Honour. W. Bro Kelly sang the Entered Apprentice Song, W. Bro Jeff Ashton organised the Masonic Chain and Bro Alan Bergin gave an explanation of Steve's Mode of Preparaton.

Initiation of Bro. David Harmer
On Tuesday 9th February 2010, Mr David Harmer was initited into Tenerife Lodge No 117. David was proposed by W. Bro Steve Vaughan and seconded by W. Bro Jeff Ashton. David thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony and is seen in the photos afterwards. Following the ceremony, he was guest of honour at the Festive Board. The next time he gets to sit on the top table will be we he is Worshipful Master!

LADIES FESTIVAL 2010
The Ladies Festival was held at the Jacaranda Hotel, Playa Fanabe, Tenerife on Saturday 27th February 2010. Over 100 persons had booked to attend the most prestigious event of the masonic year. A Reception was held in the Piano Bar, giving participants the opportunity of mingling prior to the start of the official part of the function. The Worshipful Master, W. Bro John Williams and his Lady, Barbara Williams personally greeted their guests before making the "long walk" through the Salon to take their seats on the Top Table. The cuisine and wine were superb, the company even better. Our Master of Ceremonies for the evening was W. Bro Norman Goodall M.B.E. The Toast to the Ladies was proposed by W. Bro Rick Greet and the Ladies Song was superbly sung by W. Bro Peter Maxwell, the W.M. of Lodge Ave Fenix. The Wardens, W. Bro Steve Vaughn and Bro Alan Bergin assisted Peter Maxwell in giving the traditional toast to the Lady. Barbara responded to the toast and song and was subsequently presented with a gift and flowers from the Lodge by our "youngest" member, Bro Richard Marshall. Flowers were presented to the Ladies of our Festival Committee and gifts were presented to all Ladies present. A raffle was held and dancing carried on until the early hours. Music was provided by "Dominica" who also entertained us with her electric guitar.

Bro. Eric Wilkinson
1st March 1940 to 20th February 2010
On 20th February 2010, following a long illness, Bro. Eric Wilkinson was elevated to the Grand Lodge above. A service was held for him at the Crematorium in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, which was well attended by his friends and Brethren of the Tenerife Lodges. To read the Eulogy given by W. | Anaza Certificate of Friendship |

| The W.M. Receiving the Anaza Certificate of Friendship
At the February Meeting, W. Bro. Antonio Camacho Diaz, a Past Master of Lodge Anaza No 33, presented a Certificate of Friendship to the Lodge. The certificate, was received by the W.M. - W. Bro. John Williams, confirms the a pact of friendship between the Lodges and will be proudly displayed during meetings.

Raising of Bro. Christian Martin
On Tuesday 12th January, Bro. Christian Martin was Raised to the Third Degree. He had braved the icy wastes of Wales to get to the meeting and had to spend three days at the Airport. Theres dedication for you. The meeting commenced by honouring W.Bro. Norman Goodall who entered the Lodge as a representative of the Provincial Grand Master and for once was able to sit on the sidelines during the ceremony. The Candidate was also honoured by having the first ceremony with our new carpet and oil filled candles in place. The festive board was a great success and for some reason the port decanter was always empty.

| Award of the MBE to W. Bro. Norman Goodall
In the New Years Honours List 2010, W.Bro. Norman Goodall was made a Member of the British Empire and will visit Buckinham Palace later in the year to receive his medal from H.M. The Queen. The MBE was awarded to W. Bro. Norman, "For charitable activities and services to the community in Tenerife, Spain". Congratulations W. Bro. Norman from all members of Tenerife Lodge No 117!

LODGE CHRISTMAS PARTY 2009

| The Christmas Party this year was organized by W. Bro. Rick Greet and his wife Pam. The event was held on Saturday 5th December 2009 at Toni's Restaurant, Alcala, which had been fully decorated to foster the Christmas Spirit. Rick & Pam had organised a traditional Christmas dinner with various starters followed by Turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas Pudding. The Christmas Spirit flowed freely and a free Raffle was held for a basket of Goodies including a Christmas Cake, which was won by Zena Vaughan, the wife of our Senior Warden, W. Bro. Steve Vaughan. At the end of a delightful evening the Lodge presented a bunch of flowers to Barbara Williams, the wife of the Worshipful Master. Well done to Pam & Rick for organizing such a marvelous event which raised Euros 278 in the cause of Charity.

Initiation of Bro. Richard Marshall
At our November Meeting, Bro. Richard Marshall was ballotted for and subsequently Initiated into Lodge Tenerife No 117. Following the Ceremony all those present attended the Festive Board. The evening was a great success and all of those participating were congratulated by the Worshipful Master.

The Three Amigos
During October, the Worshipful Masters of Tenerife Lodge No 117, Teide Lodge No 34 and Ave Fenix Lodge No 73 were Installed in the Chair of King Soloman. The three Worshipful Masters: W. Bro. John Williams, W. Bro. Jim Brown & W.Bro. Peter Maxwell are all friends and attended each of the ceremonies in turn.

INSTALLATION OF W. BRO JOHN WILLIAMS
As is the established custom amongst Freemasaons, once in every year each Lodge selects one of the Brethren who have served as a Warden to be the Worshipful Master for the coming year. In accordance with this custom, at the October meeting, W. Bro John Williams was Installed as Worshipful Master of Tenerife Lodge No 117.
