| Raising of Bro. Richard Marshall
On Tuesday 10 May 2011, Bro. Ricahrd Marshall was raised to the 3rd Degree. After the ceremony, a "White Table" was held to which ladies were invited. Richard was joined by his wife Susan.

Raising of Bro. Steve Grant
On Tuesday 14th April, Bro. Steve Grant was Raised to the 3rd Degree. The ceremony was in parts considerably more jovial than normal as Bro Steve insisted on grinning at the Worshipful Master. Later, at the Festive Board, he explained that the grinning was the outward sign of his extreme nervousness.

Initiation of Bro. Shaun Coin
On Tuesday 8th February 2011, Mr Shaun Coin was initited into Tenerife Lodge No 117. Gerry was proposed by Bro. Steve Grant and seconded by W. Bro Jeff Ashton. Following the ceremony W.Bro Jeff Ashton demonstrated the Masonic Chain and the Entered Apprentice song was sung by W. Bro Kelly, accompanied by Bro. Alan Bergin on the organ. After this Shaun was the Guest of Honour at the Festive Board.

| The Safe Haven Project |

| The Safe Haven Project - Guia de Isora
The WM for the 2010 Masonic Year, W. Bro John Williams supported the Safe Haven Project (Ludoteca) throughout his year in office and in February was able to make a large donation from his Master's List. This charity looks after under privileged children in the Guia de Isora area and although the building was provided by donations from the Councils of the Canary Islands, Tenerife and Guia de Isora, the Ludoteca is self supporting as far as equipment, games and toys are concerned. The donation was used to purchase educational games and toys for the children in the 4 to 8 years old group. The Guia de Isora Council thanked the WM and Brethren of Lodge Tenerife No 117 in a moving letter which was read out in Lodge. The children also provided a Thank You card which they had made themselves.

Initiation of Bro. Gerald Lee
On Tuesday 11th January 2011, Mr Gerald Allen Lee was initited into Tenerife Lodge No 117. Gerry was proposed by the Worshipful Master; W. Bro Steve Vaughan and seconded by W. Bro Jeff Ashton. Gerry obviously enjoyed the ceremony and of course the Festive Board, where he was the Guest of Honour.

| CHRISTMAS PARTY 2010
On Saturday 11th December 2010, the Lodge held its Christmas Party at the Romantica Restaurant in Callao Salvaje. Greeted with strawberry champagne, the festive spirit was flowing abundantly. The Dinner was superb and afterwards we were entained by a Mo-Town singer who was able to get quite a number of those present onto the dance floor - no mean feat! The raffle raised over €200 in the cause of charity.

Second Degree - Bro. Steve Grant
On 7th Decemeber, at an extra meeting held under a dispensation from Provincial Grand Lodge, Bro. Steve Grant was passed to the Second Degree. The meeting was a great success and we were honoured by the presence of the Provincial Grand Master and Assistant Grand Master as well as a number of visitors fron local and UK Lodges. The festive board afterwards was a memorable occasion with the usual good food, good wine and more importantly, good company.

| INSTALLATION OF W. BRO STEVE VAUGHAN
As is the established custom amongst Freemasaons, once in every year each Lodge selects one of the Brethren who have served as a Warden to be the Worshipful Master for the coming year. In accordance with this custom, at the October meeting, W. Bro Steve Vaughan was Installed as Worshipful Master of Tenerife Lodge No 117 by his predecessor W.Bro John Williams.
